In 2008 the City of Tavernes Blanques reserved, in order to build a sports complex, a plot of land next to the natural park of "Barranc del Carraixet". An extraordinary environment due to its views, biodiversity and proximity to the sea.

 

Keeping in mind that a public facility like a sports complex has a huge potential at an urban, social and economic level in its environment, the project is developed following three basic strategies:

 

- Architecture in the landscape, landscape in architecture. The section as a way to understand architecture and its relationship with the landscape. The intervention in which the ubiquitous environment penetrates the interior of the architecture.

 

- Architecture and tour. The architecture as a promenade, a space-time experience. A powerful structure capable of articulating the various volumes of the project is set.

 

- Evolutionary structure. The project is not conceived as something impermeable and locked itself. The promenade expects to be completed in its uses and forms, to be modified, destroyed and rebuilt again as a living, active body in time.
