BRIEF_Given the need for residential and work spaces in the city centre of Valencia, a plot between party walls is proposed for a new development of homes and offices in the centre of the consolidated city.

CONCEPT_Building on the economic and commercial centre of our cities is an important challenge, because it is an eminently dynamic area where it is difficult to find good-quality not-privatized public spaces for meeting.

Due to the high cost of land it becomes a speculation target that can be easily privatized. In this situation the proposal proceeds on "giving" a volumetric space to the city. The project solves the problem of building between party walls opening the volume and sliding it in order to generate some terraces as meeting spaces for neighbours which also allow air and light come in. The traditional concept of individual office is here replaced by a co-working space that also acts as a study room with areas for children and boardroom for neighbours.
