Silence is a very scarce resource in the city. When moving on it we often get the need to find a quiet space.

The reasons may be diverse: From the need to make a phone call, to the need to make a video-call. Or just to finish a job quietly, to text or to write an email.

Cube of Silence responds to this problem bringing back the cabin as a place of silence and intimacy in the city. These cabins are equipped with the Cube of Silence system using Cloud Computing technology and Near Field Communication, also have other services including Wi-Fi and printer. Thus, cabins become small urban micro-offices to video-call, end a job or even play online with other cabins.

The cabin is also equipped with speakers and external screen which allows interaction with the environment, setting a singular meeting space. New technologies are promoting a growing disinterest in the city. Against this, Cube of Silence configures hybrid public spaces that enable new ways of understanding and experiencing the city.
